Free Oracle Certifications in 2026: Updated Guide

Oracle offers free training and certification exams through Oracle MyLearn, its official online learning platform. You can build skills in cloud, AI, agentic AI and databases without paying for a course, and finish with an industry-recognized credential for your résumé and LinkedIn profile.

Oracle has released its 2026 OCI Certification Learning Paths and Exams, with major updates across Cloud, AI, Data, Agentic AI and Multicloud. The biggest change: the OCI Architect Associate course and certification are now free, in addition to Oracle's Foundations certifications.

Which certifications are free?

• OCI Foundations Associate (Foundations): for beginners new to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• OCI AI Foundations Associate (Foundations): understand AI, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI, with no coding required.
• Oracle AI Database Foundations Associate (Foundations): for anyone interested in data and databases.
• Oracle Agentic AI Foundations Associate (Foundations): learn how AI agents work and how agent-based apps are built.
• OCI Architect Associate (Associate): design cloud solutions with OCI identity, networking, compute and storage.

Oracle's Professional-level courses now require paid access. Always check that the specific course and exam you pick is listed as free before you register.

What you will learn

1. OCI Foundations Associate

Cloud fundamentals, identity and access management, networking, compute, storage, security and cost management. A good first step before moving to cloud architecture.

2. OCI AI Foundations Associate

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI, with examples from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. No prior AI, ML or coding experience is needed.

3. Oracle AI Database Foundations Associate

Foundational database and data concepts. This certification replaces the earlier Oracle Data Platform Foundations Associate, so you may still see the old name in older posts.

4. Oracle Agentic AI Foundations Associate

AI agents, how they use tools, and how agent-based applications are built. Topics include LangChain, the OpenAI Agent Stack and Model Context Protocol. Basic knowledge of LLMs and OCI, plus working Python, is recommended.

5. OCI Architect Associate

The next step after the fundamentals: designing solutions on OCI using core services such as identity, networking, compute and storage.

How to get started

1. Go to Oracle MyLearn and sign in or create a free Oracle account.
2. Search for the learning path you want, for example Become an OCI Foundations Associate.
3. Open the path and review its prerequisites, course content and exam details.
4. Enroll and complete the lessons, skill checks and practice activities.
5. Use the exam preparation material and take the practice exam if one is provided.
6. Follow the exam instructions on the learning path, and confirm the exam is listed as free before registering.
7. Take and pass the exam to earn your official credential.

Things to know before you start

• Finishing the lessons is not enough. You must pass the exam to earn the certification.
• Free applies only to specific paths. Foundations and OCI Architect Associate are free; Professional-level courses are paid.
• Certifications are valid for 24 months from the date you earn them.
• Certification names no longer include the year. You earn "OCI Architect Associate", not "OCI 2026 Architect Associate".
• More is coming. Oracle plans a Multicloud Foundations certification (September 2026) and an Exadata Database Service certification (October 2026).
